Pure Desire

Pure Desire is a national program with a chapter at Hopewell Church

Pure Desire Women Ministry offers Christ-centered support and healing for women impacted by a spouse's sexual addiction, as well as women navigating their own struggles with unhealthy emotional or sexual relationship patterns.

This ministry provides a safe place to find hope, freedom, and restoration in community with others on the same journey.

WHERE & WHEN WE MEET

Seasonal groups of 10-12 women meet on different days and times. Keep an ear out for the next season of open groups.

For privacy of the group members, once a season starts, joining midseason is not typical.

If you are in an immediate need or crisis, do not hesitate to reach out to Rachel Finch (contact info below). She can put you on a waitlist for the next season and connect you with other immediate options for healing.

Meet Rachel Finch

After discovering the heartbreaking truth about my husband’s pornography addiction, I felt completely alone. I had just moved almost an hour away from my family after getting married, and only one month into marriage, I already felt like my world was falling apart. I tried everything I could to find help but kept running into dead ends. Eventually, God led me to a Christian counselor who gently walked with me through the deep pain of my betrayal trauma.

As God began to heal the broken places in my heart, He also began stirring something new—a passion to help other women who were struggling like myself. Through Pure Desire Ministry, I found hope, understanding, and freedom from my husband's shame that had once consumed me. Pure Desire helped me uncover the, “why,” behind my pain and reminded me that my worth and identity are defined by my Heavenly Father, not by my circumstances.

While my husband continues to fight his battle with addiction, I’ve learned to live free in the promises of a good and faithful God. Today, as the Women's Pure Desire Ministry Leader at Hopewell Church, I have the privilege of walking alongside women who are navigating their own journeys of betrayal and healing.

Recent studies show that 75% of Christian men struggle with unwanted sexual behavior, and 40% of Christian women face sexual dependency issues (Pure Desire Ministries, 2024). These numbers remind me daily that so many hearts in the church are silently hurting—and that healing and restoration are possible.

You are not alone. There is hope, and there is freedom waiting for you.
