Extra Medical Benevolence Needs
From time to time we get wind of medical expenses that are mind boggling. From thousands of dollars for a prescription to a procedure that costs more than a new car, medical costs are frequently exorbitant and even without the big expenses, the little ones can add up fast. This is an area where the Church can move to care for our brothers and sisters in Christ by helping bear one another’s burdens.
We currently have two families in this difficult situation. The Bucks and the Emmicks.
Would you pray for these families? That’s the big need. We need Jehovah Rapha -the Great Healer to move on their behalf. Would you also ask God if He would have you help financially? If the Holy Spirit prompts you to give, you can follow the links to their campaign pages.
Thank you for serving Jesus and loving His family!
— Pastor Rick
Tim Emmick, who has served in many ways over the years at Hopewell, is experiencing intense pain as calciphylaxis attacks his body. They have tried all sorts of treatments and nothing has worked. And with every new treatment, there are more costs.
Linda Buck is suffering as well. She has a treatment regimen lined up, but the cost is more than our first mortgage. There’s no way she and her husband Bob can cover the cost our of savings. They need help.
“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
